Former India Captain MS Dhoni contributed 1lakh rupee to the Mukul Madhav Foundation located in Pune. The amount he donated will be helping 100 families to sustain their life meeting daily needs for 14 days amidst the 21-day lockdown period.
The donation given will be covering the expenses of a relief kit provided to the daily wage workers living in Pune. The relief kit contains the groceries like rice, pulses, oil, etc
Through the crowdfunding website Ketto, he donated the huge amount with an intention of charitable move which was followed from Pathan brothers and Shikhar Dhawan.
Through Mehmood Khan Pathan Charitable Trust, Irfan and Yusuf Pathan donated 4,000masks few days earlier. Yesterday, Shikhar Dhawan requested public on Twitter to donate funds as a part of the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
The dreadful coronavirus pandemic has shown its major effect on the sports events including cricket across the globe. The cases have been increasing day to day and present it crossed 700 positive cases.
MS Dhoni was lastly seen on the pitch, in the 2019 World Cup for India side. Recently he joined training sessions to play for Chennai Super Kings side in the IPL2020 but it was called off due to the corona pandemic.
As there is no update on IPL possibilities, Dhoni’s return to the cricket is a big question mark in everyone’s mind.
