For IPL franchise KKR ( Kolkata Knight Riders), Former England Wicketkeeper James Foster is appointed as the field coach. For 2019-20 season, Foster was the head coach of Khulna Tigers which was a franchise of Bangladesh Premier League which will now take over the reins of KKR team. James also worked as an assistant coach of the Vancouver Knights who last year won the inaugural Canada Global T20 League.
Soon he will join the head coach BrendonMcCullum, Kyle Mills who is a bowling coach and a chief mentor David Hussey in the process of completing a star studded staff in the lead u to IPL 2020.
He was tipped to succeed Alec Stewart behind the stumps for England in earlier days but he failed to replicate his country form at the top level by getting in and out of the squad.
Over all he played seven Tests, 11 ODIs, five T20Is for England by making 304 runs, 33 catches and 11 stumpings.
During the ICC T20 World Cup in 2009, he returned to play his only five T20Is but his form let him down by replacing him with the likes of Chris Read and Paul Nixon early and later followed by Geraint Jones and Matt Prior later in his career. In 2010, he went on to captain his country side, Essex.
