Evin Lewis and Shimron Hetmyer after failing fitness test were omitted by West Indies ODI Squad for Sri Lanka tour.
Last month West Indies played three game ODI series against Ireland with five wicket win last month and this left hand opener scored 99 in that match before making century they clinched the win of 3-0 in Grenada.
After posting single scores in the opening two games, Hetmyer was the Squad for the final match against Ireland. CWI stated that both of the players were left out of the squad for the trip to Sri Lanka after failing to fulfill the minimum requirements standard in the recent fitness assessments.

In the recent ODIs against Ireland Lewis stood as a best batsman in the team as he batted with great composure proving bedrock for the team’s series win.
“Hetmyer became an integral part of the batting group by getting his act together.”
Darren Bravo and Rovman Powell after impressing in domestic competition being recalled while Fabian Allen recovering from knee injury came back.
Harper said “ Darren Bravo and Rovman Powell got a call after their outstanding performance in Super50 tournament.”
Bravo’s experience and good form would bring benefit to the team to a great extent.
Happer added “ It is not that easy as Sri Lanka are very good team in their own conditions but our team is capable of facing them. These are such series where we need to win to move up the rankings.”
The Schedule for first of five ODIs against Sri Lanka will take place on 22 February in Colombo.
