New Zealand packer Kyle Jamieson expressed his delight in enjoying a dream test debut as he scalped three important wickets at Wellington on the first day test against India.
Kiwis won the toss and put India into bat first. Jamieson taken the massive wickets of Virat Kohli, Cheteswar Pujara and Whilst Hanuma Vihari. At 122/5 India were left at stumps and the highest credits for their dismantling goes to the aggressive and assuredness bowling of the lanky debutant packer.
In his first ever Test appearance on the pitch was extremely productive. He felt his first Test hasn’t sunk in as his performance was elevated to an extreme.
The 25 year old focus was on bowling in the right places leading Indian batsman play the ball.
At the end of the play on Day one Jamieson said reporters “On day one I’m pleased with my performance. The ball was put in the right areas and I tried to keep things pretty simple by making the Indian batters play the ball. “
He also stated that dismissing strong Indian skipper like Virat Kohli who is on stump line was very much satisfying for him. By getting to his edge and sending him back to the pavilion was a delight.
The 25 years old also added “ Virat all around the world has scored the runs pretty well, the wicket assisted us. However I managed to get his edge though he was very tough on the stump line and it was pretty good for me. “
Jamieson also expressed how is he feeling to get a chance representing his country in Tests. He feels the longest format of the game is the pinnacle of the sport.
He added “ it looked so unreal last couple of days. “
“ Test Cricket is always being a pinnacle for me and when we did a cap presentation last night, there we felt emotional.”
