MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh Rawat fired on media by posting on Twitter regarding the fake news circulated on the Chennai Super Kings icon. The rumor was spread that via crowdfunding website Ketto MS Dhoni had donated 1lakh rupee to Mukul Madhav Foundation to fight COVID-19.
She, on Twitter, requested all the media houses not to carry the false news at such sensitive situations. Shame on You! I really wonder, where the responsible journalism has disappeared.!”
On social media, a lot of criticism was trolling on Dhoni’s donation what was deemed to be too less compared to what he has and he is said to have a net worth of 800Crore.
To support India’s attempt to battle against COVID-19, other cricketers have actively participated in aiding it. Sum of 50lakh was donated by the Indian icon Sachin Tendulkar and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly donated 50lak worth rupee rice to the needy.
