Under 19 is going to be held in South Africa from January 17 to February 9 of this year. This will be the 13th edition in 2020 and second time South Africa hosting the Junior Cricket tournament which is the biggest one. Three places where matches will be held are Kimberley, Bloemfontein and Potchefstroom. All of the matches will be day matches which will be held at 10AM South African Standard Time and 1.00Pm in IST.

There are four groups each containing four groups total of 16 teams and the top two positions of each group will move towards the Super league. Teams which were in third and fourth positions in each group will be in plate league.

Plate League teams will have no chance of winning any tournament and will play the matches only to determine the positions of their teams. In the plate league each team will play three games.

Teams in the plate league will play quarter finals and then semi finals. Two teams which win the semi finals will reach the finals and the final winning team of Plate League will fill the ninth position in the tournament which is right after the Super League teams.

Group A includes India, Japan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand

Group B includes Australia, Nigeria, England, West Indies

Group C includes Bangladesh, Scotland, Pakistan, Zimbambwe

Group D includes Afghanistan, South Africa, Canada, United Arab Emirates

There will be a two games for four teams who will lose Plate League quarter finals. The first game is lost then they will play the second game to know their position of either 15th or 16th. If the team wins the first game then the match will be conducted for 13th and 14th position. Teams which lose semi finals of Plate League will play for 11th and 12th positions.

In the Super League too same process takes place but the one team which reach the finals and win will clinch the World Cup.
