After Gujarat Titans’ (GT) dramatic win over Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday, the top three on the IPL 2025 Orange Cap table have seen a shuffle. Suryakumar Yadav (MI), Sai Sudharsan (GT), and Shubman Gill (GT) now occupy the top spots, with significant movement in the rankings.

Orange Cap Table Update

  • Suryakumar Yadav (MI) leads with 510 runs after his 35 runs off 24 balls against GT.
  • Sai Sudharsan (GT) took the second spot with 509 runs after his unfortunate failure (scoring just 5) in the match, despite needing just 2 runs to overtake Virat Kohli.
  • Shubman Gill (GT) moved up to third with 508 runs, thanks to his steady 43 runs off 46 balls in the chase.
  • Virat Kohli (RCB), who had previously been at the top, now sits fourth with 505 runs.
  • Jos Buttler (GT), who scored 30 runs in 27 balls against MI, completes the top five with 500 runs, joining the elite club of players with 500 runs in the tournament.

Purple Cap Table Update

On the Purple Cap leaderboard, Prasidh Krishna (GT) has made history by becoming the first bowler to take 20 wickets in IPL 2025. Krishna added 1 for 37 to his tally in the game against MI, securing the top spot.

  • Josh Hazlewood (RCB) and Trent Boult (MI) follow with 18 wickets each. Boult took 2 for 22 in the match.
  • Arshdeep Singh (PBKS) and Noor Ahmad (CSK) are close behind with 16 wickets each.

The IPL 2025 season has seen strong competition on both the batting and bowling fronts, with players continuing to climb the rankings in pursuit of personal milestones and team success.
