Australia defeated New Zealand in third and final test with difference of 279 runs and moved to 64 points towards India in the point table of ICC World Test Championship.
It has been so exciting summer for the Australian Opener David Warner as he stole off the match with his century (111). Joe Burns with 40 and Marnus Labuschange with 59 played well.
Australia scored 217- 2 and set a target of 416 for New Zealand but the start of the team was so worst in a possible way as the openers couldn’t perform well in their first innings.
Mitchell Starc dispersed Tom Blundell and Tom Latham so easily and the score at the moment was 4-2.
Nathan Lyon dismissed Jeet Raval and Glenn Phillips while Ross Taylor was trapped by Pat Cummins. With a score of 38-5 New Zealand was in deep trouble.
BJ Watling and Colin de Grandhomme jointly created some curiosity by adding 69 runs for the sixth wicket and later the former was taken out by Lyon. William Somerville was removed by Starc while the rest of the wickets were swiped out by Lyon.
For 136 runs, New Zealand was out and victory goes to Australia with a score of 279 runs. The series defeat with a fall of 3-0.
