Half month’s salary donated by Bangladesh Cricketers, to fight pandemic

To fight against the COVID-19 outbreak, the total number of 27 cricketers including the 17 centrally contracted players had so kindly donated their half month salary.

Swashbuckling batsman Tamim Iqbal taking Facebook as a source and shared that he and other cricketers given their positions in a society by giving a bit as they believe that spreading awareness is not enough at this situations.

The total amount donated would be 25 lakh takas after the tax reduction, he said.

Iqbal by announcing the total amount said, the donation may not be a huge sum given the pandemic scale but a little amount add may become a big count like a little drops make a mighty ocean. He further pleased others to donate a little amount of money saying if the people did their bit in this big fight against  COVID-19, at the end of the day our whole country would be benefited.

On the day of this post, 5 people were died and 39 people were infected due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Bangladesh.

To fight against COVID-19, the Bangladesh government called for 10-day halt to battle against COVID-19 spread on March 23 i.e., on Monday.

The government had shut down the whole public and private sectors by making the daily essentials as an exception.
