The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has stated it will finalize its upcoming tour to Pakistan based on government clearance. Bangladesh was scheduled to play five T20Is in Pakistan from May 25 to June 3, but due to tensions between Pakistan and India, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final was rescheduled to May 25, overlapping with the first T20I.

The revised schedule now has the first T20I on May 27, with the last one on June 5. However, the BCB will not proceed with the tour until it receives approval from the Bangladesh government’s foreign and home ministries. If the government deems Pakistan safe for travel, only then will the tour be confirmed.

BCB’s media committee chairman, Iftekhar Rahman, emphasized that security concerns would be assessed by government agencies before making a decision. Bangladesh is scheduled to play two T20Is against UAE in Sharjah before heading to Pakistan.
