A Singer who tested positive for Covid-19 and the South African cricket team stayed in the same hotel

On March 15, the South Africa team were scheduled to play India in an ODI, in London but the tour was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. It has come to know that the Proteas stayed in the same hotel in which the singer Kanika Kapoor stayed from March 14 to Match 16.

Since she got tested positive for COVID-19, more than 1000 people by dividing into 100 teams from the UP health department and the local administration working together in tracking the contacts of all who have contacted her during her stay in the city, that is from March 11th.

The video footage of the hotel in which the singer stayed  is being scanned by our team to know who ever contacted her in between March 14 and March 16.

“Reports says that she dined in the hotel’s buffet and also met several guests in the lobby. She stayed in the hotel at the time where South Africa Cricket team stayed in the same hotel for ODI, which was eventually called off due to COVID-19” quoted in Times of India on Sunday.

“ Kanika had briefly attended the annual conclave of a new channel held at the hotel as per the gathered information. Hence the CCTV footage is most important to collect and scan the list of contacts who came in contact with her.”

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the India-South Africa ODI series has been postponed and before this, first ODI without playing a single ball was washed out in Dharamshala. Cricket South Africa as a preventive act suspended all the cricket activity for 60 days in the country.
