AB de Villiers represents Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League.

AB de Villiers retired South African batsman gave a clue that he is going to play back international Cricket at T20 World Cup in Australia next year. He made super start for Brisbane Heat to his BBL making bold statements stating his 40 run knock off for 32 deliveries.

He said in an interview that there were discussions happening with CSA team to plan his return back into the international cricket which is the most awaiting moment.

“I spoke to new South African coach Boucher , new cricket director Graeme Smith, captain Faf du Plessis. Keen discussions between us were going on to make it happen but before that lot of things to be in process to get it into reality.”

Head Coach Mark Boucher in the first press conference stated that World Cup selections will be based on the best team who performs well. If the former South African batsman keep on performing well then his presence would be graced in T20 World Cup.

“ In World Cup, you always want your best players to be in it. If his performance makes me feel one of the best player then definitely I would like to have the conversation with him.”

De Villers in the ODI selection became a hot topic but very soon turned out to be a controversy as South Africa failed to progress to knockouts.
