Indian all rounder Hardik Pandiya after his recovery made his first appearance in DY Patil T20 Cup after his back injury at the time of series against South Africa in October. As he promised he returned back as a professional cricketer in this ongoing series.
Pandya entered field to bat at number 4 and his score comprised of one four and four sixes with an overall of 38 in 25 deliveries. At the time he entered the fiel, Reliance 1 were struggling with a score of 38/2 with a loss of Shikhar Dhawan, who set back to the field after an injury.
Pandiya and Saurabh(41) in a partnership scored 53 runs before losing the third wicket. To resurrect the Reliance 1 innings, Pandiya slowly started scoring and made 7 runs out of his first 12 deliveries. Soon he changed his mood and smashed away two maximums off varun Sood’s over adding a momentum to Reliance 1 inning. Before getting dismissed he went on to hit two more maximums off the same bowler Varun Sood.
Pandya is a integral part of the Indian limited overs squad and looking forward to be a part of national colors as he is important for India’s quest in winning T20 title over the world.
Squad selection for India’s three match ODI series against South Africa will be starting next month and the all rounder is getting ready to prove his fitness infornt of selectors.
