Scores: Australia scored 258 -0 for 37.4 over where Narner scored 128*, Finch scored 110* and Jadega 0-41. India made 255-10 for 49.1 over, Dhawan scored 74, Rahul scored 47 and Starc 3-56.
In the first ODI of the three match series, Australia achieved a great success of10 wickets win over India. Opening pair David Warner and Aaron Finch crossed centuries individually and over take 256 runs target in 37.4 over.
In the winning process, Australia made record for their first ever 10 wicket win over India while their previous record was taking 9-wickets win over India at Vadodara in October 2007.
It was a good pitch at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and the target was set to 256 runs. Australian openers made energetic start putting 84/0 for 10 overs. Indian Skipper Kohli was induced to introduce Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja as spin duo to attack.
In the middle over, turning towards spinner and throwing ball to Bumrah couldn’t work as the chase went on by Warner and Finch with only minor set back.
Through out the runs chase Australia was in the driver place opening pair playing the new ball. Warner played 88 balls and Finch played 108 balls making their centuries in the mean time respectively.
Finally the duo closed the game with comfortable win from 37.4 over which made Australia taking 1-0 lead which is so important in three match ODI Series.
Shikhar Dhawan made 74 runs and a minimal contribution of KL Rahul’s 47, Rishab Pant’s 28, Ravindra Jadeja’s 25 made total of 255 off 10 wickets from 49.1 overs which took India to a respectable position.
