India vs Australia – Pant suffers concussion during 1st ODI, KL Rahul keeping wickets in his absence

During the first ODI innings between India and Australia held at Wankhede Stadium, Indian wicket keeper Rishabh Pant go through concussion. At the 44th over, the ball passed off his bat while trying to pull Cummins on the second delivery and the left hander was struck on his helmet.

Pant managed cleverly lob towards point which gathered so easily by Ashton but the Delhi Capitals wicket keeper Pant couldn’t assume his duties properly in Australia’s essay which indeed diverted to KL Rahul and he need to shoulder on these responsibilities.

India found themselves into comfortable zone after getting into batting with 134-1 at 27 overs. After the collapse of middle orders, Pant and Jadeja were tasked together gathering the lower order and backing the significant total on the board.

The combination made 49 runs and the pair destroyed very soon. Indians were rid of needful push at the end as the score was 255 for 49.1 overs.

Aaron Finch and David Warner ruffling away to 36 for 6 overs, visitors have made a solid start.

Next ODI takes place on 17th January and it will be the most exciting to see weather  Pant recovers his fitness and good enough to start the new series.
