Kevin Pietersen, England former cricket captain with his unique tweet tried to connect with his Indian fans by posting it in Hindi. He chosen the language as a medium of convey bonding together to fight against the dangerous coronavirus.
The dangerous disease threatening the whole world which has brought a halt to major sports events all over the world including cricket while few matches like IPL 2020 were re-scheduled delaying it to commence from April 15th.
The 39-year old had tweeted requesting all the Indians to obey the orders given by government and be away from health hazards staying at home.
Kevin, in the tweet credited Bengal’s wicketkeeper-batsman Shreevats Goswami for teaching him Hindi language. He was in India for a while, for the shoot purpose of his upcoming wildlife documentary. He posted a couple of pictures related to his trip across India for the purpose of making wildlife documentary and lastly he posted this message.
He said “ Namaste India. We all should be together in the cause to defeat the coronavirus. It is important to listen to the government rules and guidelines, few days to stay at home. It is a time to be smart. Lots of Love to all.”
Pietersen being an England cricketer represented in 104 tests, 136 ODIs, 37 T20Is till 2018 and later to now he has been essaying as a commentator and a pundit.
