Malinga ready to quit taking full responsibility after series loss to India

In the recently concluded three match T20 series, India beaten Sri Lanka as Sri Lanka was completely outplayed by India with score 2-0. First match was drawn due to heavy rain and the remaining matches were won by India team.

Sri Lanka skipper Malinga he himself took the responsible for not picking the wickets early in the powerplay. He also stated that there is no enough batting power to put 170runs score on board and giving the fighting chance hence they were not good enough to compete in the shortest format Cricket.

After the loss of the three match series he also be ready to vacate from the position of captaincy role which is being performed by him since 1 year. As per his thought, a captain cannot expect some one else in the team to deliver performance which he couldn’t perform. I’m ready to quit anytime he said.

He successfully lead Sri Lanka team to grab the title World T20 in 2014 and there began some kind of frictions in the squad lately during his captaincy.

He sidelined his predecessors like Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera and it seems to be there are depp divisions in the team.
