First test held at the Basin Reserve in Wellington and New Zealand beat India by ten wickets. Trent Boult picked four wickets in India’s second innings and became one of the star performers for Kiwis.
Though visitors outplayed in all departments, Boult still thinks that it is their capability to bounce back in the second test which is to be held at Christchurch.
He said “They can adapt to any kind of situations and that is the reason they are number one in the world. We are most likely expecting them to adapt pretty quickly and move on to this Test match with more positivity. Their records itself speak for themselves.”
The Basin Reserve have lot more in it for the bowlers on day one. Within a time wicket was more better for batting. Christchurch covers grass that stays intact for the whole test but Boult is more hopeful of the wicket.
“As per my view, though there is grass on the wicket, there is always a good surface here. From my side, I like the cloud cover existing here and surface tends to turn. It is always a challenge to get back into test cricket and is the toughest challenge.”
He added “ We enjoy bowling here against India and looking to test it around. We are more excited about what we are doing as we know what we are doing.”
