Pakistan Super League semi-finals called off as an effect of Coronavirus outbreak

The final four of the Pakistan Super League was suspended just hours before. This semi-final was to be held in Lahore within hours before the announcement.

The match got canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The first match was scheduled to take place in Lahore with few hours of difference.

The competition Twitter account issued a short statement confirming that the matches were postponed and to be rescheduled. It was stated adding ‘More details to follow in due course’.

In the first semi-finals, Multan Sultans were to meet Peshwar Zalmi before the second semi-final between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars. On Thursday, the final match was due to be held.

189 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Pakistan and one of those victims was dead.
