Danni Wyatt, the English opener, came out swinging in the 3rd Women’s T20I between England and Pakistan at Leeds. Wyatt had only scored 7 runs in the series before this match, as England aimed to sweep Pakistan at home.

Wyatt started strong, hitting two boundaries in the second over against Waheeda Akhtar. She kept attacking in the following overs, scoring 29*(19) in the powerplay, leading England to 40/1 in the first six overs.

Heather Knight chose to have Pakistan bowl first on Sunday afternoon, with England already having won the series in the first two games. England had dominated Pakistan in the previous two matches, winning by 53 and 65 runs, and bowling them out for 110 and 79 runs, respectively.

In this game, England scored 176 runs in their 20 overs. The 33-year-old opener led the way with a brilliant 87 off 48 balls, hitting 12 fours and one six before being caught by Sadaf Shamas at deep cover off Diana Baig.

In their chase, Pakistan managed to score 142/4, and England won by 34 runs, completing a 3-0 series sweep.
