Reason behind Kohli’s withdrawal from the first two games

For personal reasons, Kohli has withdrawn his name from the first two games of the ongoing series against England. India have ropped in dynamic Rajat Patidar as the 35-year-old’s replacement. Notably, both Kohli and Patidar represent the same franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), i.e. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). It is worth clarifying that there is no update on Kohli’s presence in the other three red-ball games of the bilateral series.
