IPL 2024, GT vs DC Match Today: On paper, Gujarat Titans seemed stronger than Delhi Capitals, with a higher ranking. But in the IPL, anything can happen. When GT’s openers, Gill and Saha, came in, everyone expected a strong start. However, by the fifth over, GT had already lost their top three batsmen. The Gujarat Titans faced another tough start during the powerplay, losing four wickets. Within those 18 runs, they lost two more wickets – Abhinav Manohar and M Shahrukh Khan, both taken by Stubbs. It’s the first time in this IPL season that no sixes were hit in the first ten overs, showing the strong bowling by DC. Their impressive bowling limited GT to just 89 runs in 20 overs, the lowest total in this IPL season.

In response, DC’s batters easily chased down the small target of 90 runs in just 53 balls, with 67 balls to spare. Rishabh Pant was named the ‘Player of the Match’. With this win, DC moves up to the 6th spot in the IPL points table.
