Gujarat Titans (GT) are not only sitting comfortably in second place on the IPL 2025 points table but are also dominating the individual performance charts, with their star players leading both the Orange and Purple Cap tables after their latest win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Orange Cap Table

The battle for the Orange Cap has intensified with three Gujarat Titans players in the top four highest run-scorers of the season. After Nicholas Pooran’s recent dip in form, which has seen him struggle with scores of 8, 11, 9, and 27, Indian batters B Sai Sudharsan, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav have been fighting for the coveted top spot.

Sudharsan, who had briefly lost the Orange Cap earlier, reclaimed it following his 48 off 23 balls against SRH. That knock also helped him become the first batter this season to surpass the 500-run mark, sitting at 504 runs. His consistent form has made him a strong contender for the title, though his position is under constant pressure from the likes of Kohli, who is just 61 runs behind in fifth place, and Suryakumar Yadav (475 runs) at No. 2. Jos Buttler (470) and captain Shubman Gill (465) are close behind in third and fourth, respectively

Purple Cap Table

On the bowling front, Prasidh Krishna has retaken the Purple Cap after his match-winning performance of 2/19 against SRH, pushing his season tally to 19 wickets. The Purple Cap race remains tight, with Josh Hazlewood (18 wickets) in second place. MI’s Trent Boult (16 wickets) and CSK’s Noor Ahmad (15 wickets) are also in the hunt, with a group of bowlers tied in fifth place, including CSK’s Khaleel Ahmed, GT’s Mohammed Siraj, and DC’s Mitchell Starc, all on 14 wickets.

GT’s dominance in both the batting and bowling departments has made them one of the most formidable teams of the season, with their players continuing to shine as the race for the playoffs heats up
