On a thrilling night in Ahmedabad, where Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) piled on over 400 runs to beat the table-topping Gujarat Titans (GT), the IPL 2025 Orange Cap standings have seen some exciting shifts.

Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill, GT’s opening duo, continue to dominate the top two spots on the run charts. Sudharsan has racked up 638 runs from 13 innings, with Gill just two runs behind him after scoring 35 in this match.

But the real story belonged to Mitchell Marsh, who stole the show with his first-ever IPL century. His blazing 117 off 64 balls helped LSG post a massive total of 235 for 2, leading them to a comfortable 33-run victory. That innings boosted Marsh’s total to 560 runs in 12 games, pushing him up to fourth place on the Orange Cap leaderboard. Between him and the GT openers sits Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav.

Nicholas Pooran, another key LSG batter, also made his mark with an unbeaten 56 off just 27 balls. This pushed him back up the charts to seventh place with 511 runs.

On the bowling front, Chennai Super Kings’ Noor Ahmad reclaimed the Purple Cap as the leading wicket-taker. He now shares 21 wickets with Gujarat Titans’ Prasidh Krishna, who slipped to second after going wicketless in this match. Noor holds a slight edge in bowling average, while Prasidh boasts a better economy rate.

GT’s left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore also moved up to sixth place after picking up a wicket, now sitting on 16 scalps. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians’ left-arm pacer Trent Boult holds third place with 19 wickets.

The MVP table and other performance stats for IPL 2025 continue to highlight the standout players this season, keeping fans glued to the action.
