After a tough Sunday for Gujarat Titans (GT) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the IPL 2025 Purple and Orange Cap tables saw only minor changes.
Orange Cap:
Despite GT’s 83-run loss to Chennai Super Kings (CSK), GT’s openers B Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill continue to hold the top two spots for most runs scored this season. Sudharsan was GT’s top scorer in the match with 41 runs off 28 balls, raising his season tally to 679 runs from 14 matches. Gill remains second with 649 runs, even though he managed just 13 off 9 balls in this game.
Trailing them are Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav, Lucknow Super Giants’ Mitchell Marsh, and Rajasthan Royals’ Yashasvi Jaiswal rounding out the top five. Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is in sixth place with 548 runs and still has a chance to climb higher.

Purple Cap:
Noor Ahmad has finished his IPL season with 24 wickets from 14 matches, taking 3 for 21 in CSK’s last league game. This puts him one wicket ahead of Prasidh Krishna of GT, who has 23 wickets from 14 matches after picking up 2 for 22 in his latest outing. Prasidh still has games left in the playoffs, so the race is far from over.
R Sai Kishore, also from GT, moved up to fifth place with 17 wickets, while Varun Chakravarthy of KKR shares the same tally but slipped to sixth due to a less impressive average after going wicketless in the recent match.
Mumbai Indians’ Trent Boult stands third with 19 wickets, followed by RCB’s Josh Hazlewood with 18 wickets in fourth.
