Today, the Pakistan Cricket Board gave confirmation regarding the coronavirus test, stating all the 128 tests which were done have come out to be negative. This negative sign brought relief to all the cricketers, support staff and people whoever involved in HBL PSL 2020.
In relation to the recent reports, England Cricketer being positive was expected but everything was set when PCB confirmed the statement today saying all to be negative.
Due to the Coronavirus scare created in Pakistan, PCB had canceled both the semi-final league matches overnight. As a part of the duty of care by PCB, on March 17th they conducted 128 tests. Apart from this, Multan Sultans had conducted the test for 17 people on March 16th. All those were confirmed to be negative.
PCB CEO, Wasim Khan has shown away his happiness and relief on the results of the test, which were conducted as a duty of care of the situation without neglecting the current issue.
He also stated that “ PCB will be monitoring the health of all their employees as a precautionary measure.”
“The players, Supporters, match officials and the broadcasters of the HBL Pakistan Super League and the Pakistan Cricket Board and the one who was decided to stay till the end of the tournament were tested and the outcome being negative for COVID-19.”
“The PCB is happy and relieved with the outcome of the result as all the players and officials went back to their families happily without any health issues and safety doubts. The PCB will continue further to safeguard the health of the employees by taking precautionary measures.”
