The son of the famous England allrounder scored 116 runs from 156 balls, hitting 11 fours and three sixes, playing for Lancashire’s Second XI.

Rocky Flintoff, son of former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff, achieved a significant milestone by becoming the third youngest centurion in the Second XI Championship.

At just 16 years and 16 days old, he achieved this feat while playing against Lancashire Warwickshire at Edgbaston. It marked his first century in this competition.

The only two players to achieve this milestone at a younger age are Amir Khan, who was 15 years and 293 days old when he scored a century for Warwickshire against Lancashire in July 2021, and Dan Lawrence, who was 16 years and four days old when he scored against Middlesex eight years prior.

With this achievement, Rocky Flintoff has surpassed his father’s record for Lancashire seconds. Andrew Flintoff was 16 years and 266 days old when he scored his first century in 1994.

Rocky Flintoff, whose CricketArchive profile reveals his journey, made his Second XI debut on April 9 and recently scored an unbeaten fifty against Durham last week.

During his innings at Edgbaston, he not only formed a century partnership with England’s Saqib Mahmood but also added 39 runs while batting alongside his older brother Corey.

His innings eventually came to an end when he was caught off the bowling of Jake Lintott in the 84th over. Lancashire declared their innings on 404 for 8 shortly after.
