After an intense double-header on Sunday, the IPL 2025 leaderboard saw some familiar faces strengthening their hold at the top, thanks to stellar performances from Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings.
Gujarat Titans openers B Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill made it a one-two punch atop the Orange Cap standings. Against Delhi Capitals, the duo powered GT to a comfortable chase of 199 runs, with Sudharsan unbeaten on 108 off 61 balls and Gill following close behind with 93 not out from 53 deliveries. Close on his heels is captain Gill, who has racked up 601 runs in the same number of innings.
Before the match, Rajasthan Royals’ Yashasvi Jaiswal briefly claimed the No. 1 spot with a rapid 50 off 25 balls against Punjab Kings. However, his 523 runs across 13 matches now place him third, trailing the Gujarat Titans’ dynamic duo.
Delhi’s KL Rahul, who also scored a brilliant century in the same game, climbed to seventh place with 493 runs. Just ahead of him are seasoned performers like Suryakumar Yadav (510), Virat Kohli (505), and Jos Buttler (500).
