Last week, they were beaten by seven wickets in the World Cup League 2 opener. However, they managed to bounce back with an eight-wicket win against the United Arab Emirates in the same tournament.

In the recent match, Scots only scored 197 runs before getting all out. Harsh Thaker from Canada took three wickets and then scored an unbeaten 105 runs. Canada reached the target with five wickets in hand, finishing at 200-5. Nicholas Kirton contributed 44 runs for Canada before getting out, while Brad Wheal from Scotland took two wickets.

Scotland will play against the United Arab Emirates in the next ODI on Saturday.

Richie Berrington, the captain of Scotland, said that despite some positives, losing the match was disappointing. He noted that while they started well, they lost wickets in the middle overs. He emphasized the importance of someone from the team scoring big, like Thaker did for Canada. Berrington also mentioned the challenge of batting first in such conditions and the need to adapt to win matches.
