The tournament is set for October 3-20, but there are rumors it might move to a different location if the situation in Bangladesh doesn’t improve. The International Cricket Council (ICC) hasn’t made a decision yet but is watching the situation closely.

The ICC spokesperson said they are working with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), local security, and their own consultants to ensure everyone’s safety.

The issue was mentioned at the ICC Annual Conference in Colombo last month but wasn’t formally discussed.

The tournament will feature ten teams playing 23 matches over 18 days at two stadiums: Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka and Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. Warm-up matches will be held from September 27 to October 1 at BKSP in Dhaka. The tournament schedule was announced in May with Prime Minister Hasina, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, and Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana present.
