This was a big deal in cricket. Even though Tendulkar did really well, India ended up losing to Bangladesh. Then, Bangladesh went on to play against Pakistan in the final match. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Sachin Tendulkar, who used to lead the Indian team, is still the only player ever to reach 100 international centuries.<\/em><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>At that time, <strong>Tendulkar was 38 years old. It took him more than a year to score his 100th century after his 99th, <\/strong>which he got while playing against South Africa in Nagpur during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espncricinfo.com\/series\/icc-cricket-world-cup-2010-11-381449\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>2011 World Cup<\/strong><\/a>. Despite his effort, India lost by five wickets. He helped India reach a total of 289\/5, but Bangladesh chased it down, ending at 293\/5 with Shakib Al Hasan&#8217;s contribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the match, <strong>Tamim Iqbal, Jahurul Islam, and Nasir Hossain all scored fifty-plus runs for Bangladesh. <\/strong>This loss knocked India out of the group stage. <strong>Bangladesh made it to the final but lost to Pakistan by just two runs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sachin Tendulkar retired from ODIs in December of that year, ending his career with a staggering 18,426 runs at an average of 44.83 in 463 matches. <\/strong>He retired from Tests and international cricket in 2013 with 15,921 runs at an average of 53.78 in 200 matches.
