King Edward VII was in charge of the United Kingdom and some other places from 1901 to 1910, and this period got its name from him.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n He was born on November 9, 1841. Even though he wasn’t king until he was 60, he had the longest wait of any heir to the British throne. But before he became king, people weren’t sure if he’d be good at it or how long he’d live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Edward’s mom took care of him a lot when he was young, and he didn’t get into politics much<\/strong>. He liked parties, gambling, hunting, and other fun stuff<\/strong>. People didn’t have high hopes for him being a great king because he was overweight and had mistresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
