AB de Villiers confirms contacting Virat Kohli
In a surprising turn of events, De Villiers confirmed on his official YouTube channel that the former India skipper is doing well and spending quality time with his family by quoting a conversation with Kohli.
“All I know is he is fine. He is spending a bit of time with his family, that is the reason he is missing the first two Test matches. I am not going to confirm anything else. I cannot wait to see him back. He is fine, he is doing well,” revealed De Villiers.
“So I wrote to him ‘Been wanting to check in with you (sic) for a while now biscuits. How are you?’. He said ‘Just need to be with my family right now. I am doing well,” he added.

AB de Villiers reveals if Virat and Anushka Sharma are expecting their second child
Despite De Villiers initial resistance to disclose more information, he eventually couldn’t keep the secret any longer and revealed that Kohli and Anushka are expecting their second child.
Moreover, the former Proteas skipper expressed his support for Kohli’s decision to prioritize family, emphasizing the importance of being true and genuine to oneself and stating that Kohli had made the right decision. He further asserted that family is a top priority for most people and urged others not to judge Kohli for prioritizing his family.
“Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him. But he has made absolutely the right decision,” confirmed former Proteas skipper.
