They posted a strong total of 272/7, with Sunil Narine and Ankush Raghuvanshi leading the charge, supported by explosive cameos from Andre Russell. Delhi had a good start but couldn’t keep up with KKR’s strong performance.

KKR showcased an exceptional batting display today, scoring the second-highest total in IPL history! Sunil Narine played a fiery inning, scoring 85 runs off just 39 balls, leading KKR close to breaking the all-time record. Ankush Raghuvanshi’s quickfire 54 off 27 balls, along with contributions from Andre Russell (41 off 19) and Rinku Singh (26 off 8), piled on the runs. The Delhi Capitals’ bowlers struggled to contain the onslaught.

KKR’s captain, Shreyas Iyer, won the toss and chose to bat first against the Delhi Capitals.

Kolkata Knight Riders enter the game with confidence, having won their initial matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Their Indian batsmen, including Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer, showed good form by spending quality time at the crease and hitting boundaries. Despite Mitchell Starc remaining without a wicket in his first two matches, KKR should persist with him, considering his history as a match-winner and the significant investment made in him.
