WPL 2024: Delhi Capitals women accorded grand welcome ahead of home debut

DC are set to play in a home venue for the first time since the Women’s Premier League (WPL) came into existence in 2023.

In New Delhi, the Delhi Capitals Women’s team were given a warm welcome by their official fan club, DC Toli, as they arrived in the capital city. It’s an exciting moment as they prepare to play their first home game since the Women’s Premier League (WPL) started back in 2023.

The Delhi leg of the WPL begins on Tuesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Led by Meg Lanning, the home team will take on the Mumbai Indians in what promises to be an exhilarating match.

The league’s initial phase took place in Bengaluru.

The Delhi Capitals, who made it to the final in the tournament’s debut edition, are currently leading the table with six points from three wins in four games.
