ICC Announces Warm-Up Match Schedule for ODI World Cup 2025: India to Play England and New Zealand

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the official schedule for the warm-up matches ahead of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. All eight qualified teams will participate in these preparatory games, set to take place between September 25 and 28.

Notably, each team will play two warm-up matches, except Australia, who will feature in just one fixture. The main tournament is scheduled to run from September 30 to November 2.

Venues and Fixtures

The ICC has shortlisted four venues for these matches:

  • BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground, Bengaluru
  • M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru
  • R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo
  • Colombo Cricket Club Ground, Colombo

India ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’ teams will also be part of the warm-up rounds. India ‘A’ will play one match, while Sri Lanka ‘A’ will play two.

The warm-up campaign will begin on September 25 with a high-profile clash between 2017 finalists India and England in Bengaluru. On the same day, South Africa will face New Zealand, while Sri Lanka takes on Pakistan and Bangladesh plays against Sri Lanka ‘A’.

Australia will play their only warm-up match against England on September 27. India’s second warm-up fixture is also set for September 27, against New Zealand.
