Check out the scoop on the first-ever season of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL)!
Franchise cricket leagues have been popping up all over the world since the game-changing Indian Premier League (IPL) hit the scene in 2008. Now, after 16 years, India is gearing up for a fresh take on the sport. While the T10 format has been a hit in the Middle East and the West Indies, India is putting its own spin on things.
Enter the Indian Street Premier League—a T10 showdown played with a tennis ball. The action kicked off in style in Thane, with six franchises backed by big names from Indian cinema. Cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Ravi Shastri are on board as brand ambassador and chief mentor, respectively.
