IPL 2022: Rajasthan Royals Predicted Playing XI For The First Match Of The Tournament
Rajasthan Royals have one title to their name that they won under the leadership of Shane Warne in the inaugural season. However, besides that, they have exhibited underwhelming performances for most of the editions in IPL. RR finished at second from the bottom of the table last year but they have backed Sanju Samson to continue leading the side in IPL 2022. Besides, they also retained the likes of Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Much to the delight of the fans, the franchise has managed to compile a pretty strong squad this time around. They invested heavily in the bowling department. Rajasthan Royals shelled out INR 10 crores to buy the services of Prasidh Krishna. They also managed to get both Ravichandran Ashwin (5 crores) and Yuzvendra Chahal (6.50 crores) into the team.
Some of the other notable acquisitions include the likes of Shimron Hetmyer, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Trent Boult, Rassie van der Dussen etc. Heading into the start of IPL 2022, we have compiled our predicted playing XI of Rajasthan Royals. Here’s a look at that.
Openers: Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler
Both were retained by the franchise prior to the start of the auctions. It is perhaps a smart move by retaining both the players, Jos Buttler adds experience to this batting unit. He will be responsible for providing quickfire starts at the top of the order.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, on the other hand, is the one for the future. The southpaw played some vital knocks while opening the innings for the team. He will be keen to make it to have a stellar season with the bat.
