Aakash Chopra, a former Indian cricketer, pointed out that Shashank Singh, currently playing for PBKS, has some unfinished business against SRH. The match between Punjab and Hyderabad is scheduled to take place at the new Yadavindra International Stadium in Mullanpur.
Shashank led PBKS to victory against GT in the previous week and hopes to replicate that success against his former team. He was signed by PBKS for his base price of Rs 20 lakh in the IPL 2024 mini-auction.
Both Punjab and Hyderabad have won two matches and lost two matches this season, placing them in the fifth and sixth positions, respectively, in the IPL 2024 points table.

Chopra, speaking on his Youtube channel, highlighted Shashank Singh’s motivation to perform well against SRH, his former team.
Shashank had previously played 10 matches for SRH, scoring 69 runs at an average of 17.25 before being released after the 2022 season. Chopra also praised Shashank’s recent form and expressed confidence in PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan to score runs against SRH. Dhawan’s memorable unbeaten 99-run innings in the previous season’s match against SRH is still fresh in memory.
With both teams aiming to move up the IPL 2024 points table, the upcoming match is anticipated to be quite engaging.
