Phil Salt‘s time with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) has had its ups and downs. Taking over from Jason Roy, Salt brought his own style of batting to the team.

However, his departure during the 10th match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru made fans think about his contribution. Up against a determined RCB side led by Faf du Plessis, Salt managed to score 30 runs before getting out in the 8th over.

It was Vyshak Vijaykumar’s delivery that did him in, as Salt’s attempt to hit a pull shot was caught perfectly by Cameron Green at deep square leg.

His dismissal changed the course of the match, boosting the home crowd and giving RCB the momentum they needed.

Even after Phil Salt got out, the Knight Riders kept going after RCB’s total of 182 runs. With players like Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer batting, KKR still believes they can win.

As the game went on, KKR reached 112 runs with the loss of two wickets in 11 overs, with Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer still at the crease, anchoring the innings.
